OPERATION CAVE IN !
THE REVIEWMission completed on 15th Nov 2005. There was a shock return as Steven Dash came out of retirement, along with new bad boy Matt Walker and the ageing Rick Barker.
This was a very different mission that hadn't been tried before by the mission men although we were not the first to venture into these caves near Charlestown because we know that a man named Andy Pearce once went in there. In we went, into the blackness with just the sound of running water entering our ears. Man it was wet in there and one day all that leaking water from the cave roof will collapse and block the tunnel forever.
As we went further in, some parts of the cave were deeper in water than others but this didn't stop Matt with only his trainers on. Rick and Dash had wellies to keep their little piggies dry. The torches were extremely useful and it would have taken a brave group to go in with no light source and an even bigger hero to go in alone for an hour.
After 15 minutes or so it seemed, the end faced us as a cave in had blocked our path. Dash went to investigate as a gap could be seen through the rubble and Dash decided it was big enough for everyone to carry on the mission. However, the group of us agreed to quit there for safety reasons and maybe return with more ammo another day and be more prepared to go on. It looked muddy and that would be an awesome challenge. Maybe get to the Queen's Head for a nice cold pint of piss !
We fought our way back out, only realising then that the tunnel was full of nesting spiders on the roof of the cave ! Anyway we made it out, some slightly wetter than others but all in one piece. We signed the wall where people had been before. It had even been signed as far back as the 1970s, but we were the latest ones ! We headed off into another cave shortly afterwards but had to retreat when we suddenly began to sink in quicksand. A boat may be needed to enter that one.
Overall it was a good investigation. We may come back for second helpings in the not to distant future with more supplies and more bodies so we can see if the dead really do live in the darkness.... of the St Austell caves......

OPERATION CAVE IN ! THE PREVIEW
Halloween 2005 will see the end of the egging action as the gang, with new members, head off to a secret location in order to hunt out the skeletons of lost souls and the treasure chests now forgotten, in the dark caves of St Austell bay.
Quite what they'll find, only one can guess, maybe they will return with bars of glistening gold, worth millions of pounds; maybe they will see other worlds under the ground where creatures and the dead live in harmony and in peace away from the dangers of modern life...or... will they return with stinking wet asses, boots filled with dirty smelly water, ripped jeans, a cold and a fear of the dark ? Now that sounds more like it...
However, no-one knows what lurks beneath the Earth in all that darkness where activity once thrived. Who knows what they will meet or find. Halloween missions have thrown up all kinds of strange situations over the years, and this could be added to the list.
How many will show, well we cant be sure. Dash is back, we know that, Kai is dead, we know that but don't worry, because whatever happens on that dark and fearful night on October 31st 2005, the camera men will get their pictures and that will show the world [and the readers of this website] the truth and all the action that takes place ! Get your boots on bobbies !!!
