RACE PREVIEW MENHENIOT 19TH JULY 2009

RACE PREVIEW MENHENIOT 19TH JULY 2009

MARK STOCKS  2/1 - Favourite if the rain comes. Nearly always in the medal places. 3/14 here last year. Will challenge for the victory without doubt.

STEVEN DASH  4/1 - Should have won at St Eval last time but for kart trouble. 2/14 here last year. Good in dry or wet. Dangerous.

RICKO BARKER  9/2 - Really fast in the dry here. Won here on a damp track in 2003. 4/14 last time. Doesn't mind the wet, big chance.

CRAIG STOCKS  6/1 - Related to Mark and Gary Stocks. Fast at St Eval so should be fast around Menheniot.

BEAR BARKER  7/1 - Pole Position here last year against the odds and 5/14 overall. 2nd fastest driver that day. Respected more this time.

NICK BLATCHFORD  8/1 - Massive crash at St Eval earlier in the year would have shook him up but is fast and should go well.

NICK JOHNS  9/1 - Top 5/19 at St Eval latest and that sets him up for a good go at this track. Should be up there challenging.

NATHAN MANSFIELD 12/1 - Good here in 2007 with pole position and 4th overall. Shocking at St Eval since and will be hoping for a revival.

ROSS BLATCHFORD  14/1 - Struggled here on 2 previous outings. Improving all the time but yet to challenge the leader board. Chance this time.

CHRIS ROBINZ  16/1 - First grand prix with these guys. Has bits of form around here from 2 years ago. Big step up in class though. Wants it dry.

THE STIG  16/1 - We cant say a lot. All will be revealed on the big day as to who this driver will be. Could be amazing or terrible..

DANNY MELLOR  20/1 - Full of confidence after improved showing around St Eval latest. This track may suit him better. Don't write him off.

MATT BENNETTS  20/1 - Every drivers nightmare. Tough to overtake and very unpredictable. Fancies his chances if the heavens open.

JAKE WILLIAMS  25/1 - Struggled at St Eval latest with a dodgy kart. Better after a kart change. Should be faster around this track.

RICHARD PURSALL  33/1 - Last at St Eval latest but not by much. May prefer this track. We will have to wait and see how he goes.

OLLY PRESTON  50/1 - Finished 6 laps down on his only karting experience back at St Eval in 2007 in a massive downpour. Will want a dry day for sure!

ANDREW TRIGGS  66/1 - Finally decided to put on the racing overalls after 41 years. He's worried, but I'm sure he will be fine....as long as he stays away from Bennetts!
