Combat Boxers

Welcome to the new series called COMBAT BOXERS. The new fight scheduled to take place on December 30th 2008 between Godfrey Junior and Ricko Balboa is the first of many big battles between people on this website. It is hoped that some of the biggest and meanest competitors located on the fishing match website will come out and give it their all to become the champion.

RUMOURED FIGHTS : Bear Godfrey Junior and Ricko Balboa's fight has obviously been confirmed and will go ahead but their are rumours already swishing around about other possible match ups. Godfrey has said he will fight a re match with Ricko in Feb 2009 win or lose in this fight while Jason Goliath Hoare is being lined up to take on Jake Gizzardo. However Bad Boy Bennetts could be next for either Ricko or Godfrey as rumours have it Bad Boy Bennetts is scared of taking on Jason Goliath Hoare.

And all this while Mr Fasthands, the real heavyweight of Combat Boxers waits in the wings along with Matty Barker.

THE FIGHT PREVIEW - GODFREY JUNIOR vs RICKO BALBOA: Godfrey and Ricko have sparred on several occasions in the build up to this fight. It has been rather even but although many would have Rikco as favourite to win because of his fitness and speed, it is actually Godfrey that has had the better of the practice exchanges giving Rick a cut nose and grabbing a knock down on their last sparring session on Boxing Day of all days. Jake Gizzardo was also involved in some of the sparring but played safe and didn't throw many punches.

Godfrey has a very minimal reach advantage and weighs in more than a stone heavier than Ricko which gives him a slight advantage overall but things even up with Ricko's stamina which should see him go the distance if he can avoid Godfrey's bombs to the head.

 COMBAT BOXER'S RULES ETC :

There will be x8  2minute rounds with a 1 minute break in between each.
There is a homemade ring with rope and posts.
There will be someone there to oversee the whole fight.
Fights are won by knockout [ stoppage ] or on a points decision. A draw is possible.
The fight will be filmed for release on YOU TUBE.
It may take up to 5 days from the fight date to get the footage onto the internet. The result until that time will remain a mystery.
Only members of the Fishing Match Chat Forum are eligible to take part in the Combat Boxers fighting series :)
